Happy one year anniversary to us Kings and Queens of Drumzout 2012. We are still as one no matter whoever wants to take the "throne" or the championship title. Today's BBQ session was one of the best outings we have done as a batch plus the seniors as well. It was wonderful. From food, to company, to the things we did together and all the laughter shared. No other days can duplicate these exact same moments and I am so glad I was able to be part of it.
We had this Chinese paper lantern bought and everyone initialed it and captioned the paper lantern with "Kings" as the main feature. After done decorating the lantern, we brought it over nearer to the beach to fly it up into the night sky. First attempt, everyone was already standing by and awaiting the lifting of the lantern, but the fire didn't produce enough gas to keep the paper lantern up. Second attempt, we manage to get the lantern flying but it kept on floating downwards. Some of us were already singing the Mudanca lyrics as background music to accompany the "ceremony". Third attempt, the paper lantern was lifted up to the sky and it was already flying above the seawater but downwards. Everyone was panicking because it seems like the paper lantern was about to hit the waters. In my head, I was already trying to accept the fact that we are, indeed, not meant to be called Kings and Queens. But a miracle happened; just when the paper lantern was about to hit the waters, it paused and floated right away up into the night sky. We were all jumping for joy and cheered with laughter. That, honestly, was the most beautiful thing ever. That was in fact, the highlight of the BBQ outing and our one year champions anniversary. I couldn't be anymore grateful to have known these people because they have brought in joy into my life and I am so happy that I was in this 2011 batch. The best of the best.
We played Mudanca using the things and materials that are at the BBQ. It was one of the best jamming session as well. Really, with this batch, anything is possible. And everything we do, we enjoy it all together. I always had the best laughs with them. All the nonsense and the jokes (even though a lot are really sick) will never fail to make me feel tickled. And most of the time, with them, I don't acknowledge their jokes. They really are funny.
Pictures are worth a thousand words, too bad I don't have one. But the memories and moments we went through is something treasured and I will never forget this happy occasion for the rest of my life.
